Things people ask.

Do I need an account to use Unlock Sign?

No. The app starts working straight away — no sign-up required. If you'd like to save your progress to use across devices or recover later, you can add your email anytime in Settings.

What's the difference between free and Premium?

Free includes four starter Treasure Chests, daily challenges, your personal scoreboard, and the All-Australia leaderboard.

Premium unlocks the full Chest library, Crew creation (so you can invite your family and friends), the priority modelling list, and Captain's tools.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Google Play account.

iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Open Unlock Sign → Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete account. Your data is removed within 30 days.

If you'd prefer to email us, send a deletion request to key@unlocksign.app from the email address linked to your account.

I'm an NDIS participant — can I claim Unlock Sign?

Subscribers receive a standard tax invoice from the App Store or Google Play after each payment. Whether you can claim it under your NDIS plan depends on your plan management and the line items it covers.

Check with your plan manager. We don't bill the NDIS directly.

Where do the signs come from?

All sign content is Australian Key Word Sign and Auslan-based, verified against Auslan Signbank and Key Word Sign Australia sources.

Sign demonstration videos link out to Signbank — they're not hosted in the app. The little pictograms next to each sign are AAC symbols from Mulberry Symbols via Global Symbols, used with attribution.

Is Unlock Sign for me if I don't have a child with a language delay?

Yes. Unlock Sign is for anyone learning Key Word Sign — parents, grandparents, siblings, teachers, support workers, neighbours, friends.

It was designed for the whole Crew of people around someone who benefits from signing, but it's just as useful for anyone who wants to learn.

Which devices are supported?

Unlock Sign runs on iOS (iPhone), Android phones, and any modern web browser at app.unlocksign.app.

The web version can be installed as an app on most devices — look for "Add to Home Screen" or the install icon in your browser.

I have feedback about a sign — who do I tell?

Please email key@unlocksign.app with the sign name and what you noticed.

We curate signs carefully and value corrections from the community.
